Wacky Taco Toppings You Have Never Considered Trying Before

We all love food. And even if you don’t love it, at the very least, we all eat food. And there are a ton of wacky foods out there, including tacos and taco toppings. Don’t believe me? Try a wacky taco and tell me what you think of it!

Pineapple

What? Pineapple doesn’t go on pizza. Ok, Karen, slow down, I said tacos, not pizza. Haha. Pineapple is good on pizza and you know what else it’s good on? Tacos. A taco truck once topped their braised pork tacos with onion and pineapple. You may never find a better taco topping, that’s how good it is.

Sauteed Zucchini

For some people, this versatile vegetable is too wet, soggy, or just not flavorful enough. But the thing is, when you use something “bland,” you can really make it into whatever you want. So grill your zucchini, saute it, bake it, or even dice it raw and sprinkle it on top! Just make sure you add salt and pepper at the very least, if not some stronger, bolder flavors like chili powder or cayenne pepper.

Fried Avocado

First of all, who doesn’t love avocado on their tacos. Oh ya, me. But most people love avocado, plain, on toast, and for sure on tacos. And if you fry them, they are even better on a taco. The avocado gets warm, extra creamy, and buttery. What else could you even want for your taco?

Spaghetti and Meatball Tacos

Did I lose you on this on? Follow me and I will explain. The filling is spaghetti and meatballs, the topping is parmesan cheese, and the shell, well, there are a couple of options for that. You can use typical corn shells or you could make some DIY Parmesan cheese taco shells and yum. If that doesn’t sound like the best dinner ever, what does?

Bacon Shell Tacos

If you thought Parmesan cheese was a good idea for a DIY shell, what do you think of bacon? Is your mouth watering yet? You could make breakfast tacos with these bacon shells and include eggs, cheese, chorizo, onion, other vegetables, and even some hot sauce on top, if you wanted to mix it up. Want these for dinner? Make BLT tacos with the bacon shells or use chicken, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a drizzle of mayo and you pretty much have a club sandwich in a taco.

Tuna Tacos

This has the same mentality as the club sandwich tacos. Make yourself some tuna salad, add onions, lettuce, mayo, a squeeze of lime, and a shake of oregano (nothing is better with canned tuna than oregano, trust me on that.)This wacky taco is different from the rest and will satiate your tuna salad craving in a new and fresh way.

Taco In A Bag

Also known as a walking taco. While this isn’t wacky or weird, it is delicious. You can find these types of tacos at sports concessions or local fairs, and you can easily make them at home, too. Take Doritos and smash them in the mini bags, add all the typical taco ingredients, or really whatever you want, grab a fork and start eating, right out of the bag!

You need to make DIY Parmesan taco shells and stuff them with spaghetti and meatballs if for no other reason then to post a picture to your Instagram, or just scarf them down. What is your favorite wacky taco or taco topping?
